Book Nook: Let's Go On Safari

This week is Be Kind to Animals week, so it's a great week to think about not only the animals we have as pets or the animals nearby, but all animals worldwide. I had a chance to review a book that encourages kids to think about far-off animals - Let's Go on Safari.

I love that this book was written by a child - in fact, the author is only nine. She does a great job being an informative voice, while still using language that will appeal to children, because she is a child herself. The book will be fun to read for any young fan of safari animals. and would also make a great educational addition to any bookshelf, to teach kids not only about the animals, but also about ways that they can get involved in conservation efforts to help protect amazing creatures around the world.
