The book is written by author-illustrator Elise Primavera (who also created "Auntie Claus," which will soon be a feature film from Netflix). The main character is sent on a question to discover in own magic power, and she hopes that readers will learn from her story to find out what their own power is in the world around them.
I like that the book is optimistic, with a main character who always sees the best in others. She learns to see the best in herself too, encouraging readers to find out their own special qualities.
“Marigold Star is a reminder to all of us that it is possible to embrace our differences rather than use them as a reason to not be friends,” says Primavera.
