Supporters of preserving the world’s most meaningful architecture now have their chance to see their loved one’s “name in the stars” thanks to a group of Americans who are rallying together with their Parisian counterparts to save the city’s oldest church: Saint Germain des Prés.
- Adopt a Saint Germain Star™ - Donors may go online today and adopt one or more of the hundreds of stars in the church’s ancient, vaulted ceilings.
- These stars are a major part of the restoration effort, and the interactive map showing donors’ names will be displayed on-site at the church when restoration is completed.
- There are more than 800 stars currently available. Donations will directly impact the preservation of this historic structure and its beautiful celestial ceiling.
- Each star is numbered and, when adopted – such as to celebrate a recent graduate or as a Father’s Day gift – patrons will receive documentation of the star’s newly attributed identity so they have a permanent record of their gift to share.
