I recently had a chance to review the debut book Big Cat by Emma Lazell. It's a funny little story that will appeal to kids and have a little twist too.
The book has bright, bold colors with a slightly nostalgic or classic feel, but a timeless story. Isobel and Gran are looking for Gran's lost glasses and they come across a very big stripy cat. The cat moves in with them but eats all the food and takes up the new space. But when Gran finds her glasses and the new cat's family shows up, Gran realizes it was a tiger!
This book has lot of little details in the illustrations that make it fun to read, and it's a cute story too!
