Consumer Critique: Piper Computer Kit

I had a chance to review a Piper Computer Kit, which is a really unique DIY computer-building experience. My husband is a system administrator who started out by building his own computers as an older teen, so it was fun for him to see the girls get intrigued by the kid.

The kit comes with everything kids need to build a real, working computer. It's designed for kids 8-13, and includes the Raspberry Pi Edition of Minecraft. Building and using the computer is a great way for kids to learn STEAM, including coding. Plus, it's a great sense of accomplishment to be able to have created something that really works and is useful. My kids love Minecraft, so it is a great activity for them - educational and fun, and a good way to keep them engaged in learning over days off of school.

They've got great resources on incorporating Piper in the classroom as well, if you're a teacher who wants to use this resource in school!
