EZbra for Breast Cancer Patients

Having breast cancer is one of the hardest things a woman can go through, from the moment one is diagnosed to the recovery period. In particular, the recovery period can be awful – it can be accompanied by pain, discomfort, and emotional stress. Friends and family may want to get a gift that can offer a source of comfort during this time and so the gift should be something that can help your loved one to recover with dignity, such as EZbra.
EZbra is a sterile disposable & feminine, all-in-one advanced breast dressing. Its innovative design enhances quality of care in accordance with surgeon post-op requirements, while providing a tailored breast dressing that allows patients to recover with dignity. The product was created out of total necessity by Efrat Roman, who as a two-time breast cancer survivor realized there was no standard breast dressing for breast surgery patients.

I had a chance to do an interview to learn more.

·         Why is it important for women with breast cancer to have appropriate undergarments?
Having breast cancer is already a traumatic ordeal for any woman to go through worrying about the proper garments that one has to use throughout their healing process should be the last thing for anyone to be worried about. When I had my double mastectomy, I woke up with up covered with two huge brown tapes that tore my skin once removed, and then were replaced by pads that were stuck in my post-op itching reusable bra, that was stained with blood and ooze and I couldn’t believe  that there was no disposable compression bra available that would also function as a breast dressing. From that moment I realized that it was important to take matters into my own hands and so EZbra was born.
·         What about the EZBra makes it particularly appropriate for women with breast cancer?
EZbra is designed to give a perfect solution to the patient’s post-op needs in the 5-10 days following their surgery.  It was designed to allow application and separate degrees of compression and support even in cases of extreme asymmetry, it is a perfect solution to every patient after every type of breast surgery.
·         What are some other things that women with breast cancer can do to maintain a sense of dignity?

While I hope EZbra will give the women using it some dignity and control over their lives at this very sensitive and challenging phase, my hope is that women will learn to love and embrace their new bodies even more.
