Koo Koo Kanga Roo tours the West this month. Koo Koo Kanga Roo is also celebrating the release of a new single,"My Jam." The tune is getting play on WXPN Kids' Corner Radio in Philly and at Harlem Globetrotters games, and a new music video featuring the slam-dunking heroes and Bryan and Neil from Koo will be come later this month. In other news, Koo Koo Kanga Roo will be among the showcase artists at the annual Kindiecomm family music conference sponsored by WXPN Radio in April.
Also new this month is the expansive "Heart Like a Door," the first track and first single from Justin Roberts' highly anticipated next album Wild Life. With two decades of making songs for kids and three GRAMMY nominations under his belt, Justin's newest project is his baby son. The album is simply a beautiful set of love songs from parent to child, and it would be a thoughtful gift for new parents. Joined by an eclectic group of instrumentalists including pianist Lisa Kaplan (Eighth Blackbird) baroque cellist Anna Steinhoff, percussionist Gerald Dowd (Robbie Fulks), and vocalist Nora O’Connor (Flat Five, the Decemberists), this tender and uplifting collection of songs is his most personal album yet.
