Burnout is a growing mental and emotional health problem in America. On May 25, 2019, it was officially classified as a medical condition by the World Health Organization. It refers to emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. Studies show that burnout has reached epidemic proportions, yet modern medicine doesn’t have the answer. This book, From Burning Out to Burning Bright: Get Your Life Back by Healing Your Thoughts, Memories, and Emotions, provides a true story of a woman’s dramatic experience with personal, professional and spiritual burnout, and shares how she overcame it.
I had a chance to interview the author to learn more.
Why is burnout such a problem?
Up until now, most Mothers have not had the awareness or understanding that we are more than our physical bodies. We have a supraphysical, emotional, memory (karmic), mental, intuitive and Soul bodies as well. Babies are born without a supraphysical body and rely on the Mother and Father to grow and develop it over time. As toddlers, the supraphysical body should developed and flexible enough to cushion most any fall or tumble they take while learning to walk on their own. By teenage years it needs to be firmly developed to help us handle the sometimes-harsh aggressions of others.
As adults we deal with challenging relationships and negative energy every day. If the supraphysical body is not fully developed, or becomes injured or depleted, we lose this protection which leaves us highly vulnerable to the negative energies of others all around us. These negative energies deplete our energy stores until we are completely burned out.

As with any challenge in life, the more we ignore it the worse it gets. The sooner we address it, the sooner we can heal and enjoy a happy, healthy life.
