Baby Safety is important on vacation too! As you start to plan your spring/summer travel choosing a destination that will be appropriate and fun for everyone in your family, parents are also thinking about what to pack. In addition to easy-to-care clothing and sun protection products, depending upon where you are staying, basic safety accessories should find their way into your luggage.

Larry Stone, a certified baby proofer and owner of Safety Matters, doesn’t want parents to sacrifice safety when away from home. “Parents are extremely vigilant about babyproofing every inch of their home. Here are some easy to follow tips that will make your next family trip more fun and stress free for all:
1 - bring along a dozen or more electrical outlet caps and use them!
2 -  cover sharp furniture corners with soft corner protector
3 - move baby’s crib or roll away bed far from windows that may not have safety guards
4 - invest in an adhesive toilet lock that can be easily installed and removed
5 - a travel highchair is a must particularly if you are renting a home.
6 - opt for a travel crib that can also be used outdoors such as the KidCo PeaPod Travel Bed which folds up to the size of a chair cushion.
7 - if your child enjoys sitting and doing activities, consider a travel activity seat that will keep him entertained while being contained in a safe space
