More information from Linda:

Everyone has a story, a story that can transform lives. However, sadly enough most people don’t think they have a story, at least not one that could impact someone’s life. After a lengthy journey to healing in my own story, I learned the power of story and am passionate about helping people find, create and tell their story. Once they discover the power in their story they can use their story to impact the people they want to reach.
My mission is, “To Impact a Million people a year through story.”

How would you define story? Story is simply an experience we share with someone.
What is the value and purpose of story?
There has been a huge paradigm shift in most industries from traditional sales to relationship. Nothing builds relationships more quickly than story.
Stories help us connect faster, impact more people and even transform lives
Someone may share with you how difficult it is to go from a regular paycheck at a traditional job as opposed to becoming an entrepreneur. (that’s his story). You might respond with, “I clearly remember those days. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to pay the bills each month … but eventually I started receiving a regular income and things started improving. (Your story). Although you are sharing your story it is for the purpose of encouragement, hope and empowerment. The purpose of story is to serve the other person.
Since you wrote the book, Your Story Matters, story is clearly important to you. Has it always been important or how did that come about?
I didn’t understand the power of story until I came to complete healing in my own story.
At that time story became alive to me. Shortly after, I wrote my own story and began doing more research and attending conferences and worked with a high-end coach who helped me grasp the power of my own story. When she helped me take my 45-year journey and tell it in 2 minutes I knew I had found the power of story.
Impacting a million people a year through story is a pretty big mission. How do you go about fulfilling that mission?
There are two basic ways to communicate story; by telling your story and by writing your story.
I developed a program called, Wealth Through Stories to help people tell and/or write their story.
I also offer Story Retreats, and other training.
Last year I had the privilege of getting on the TEDx stage so have done some training in that area.
This year, I am planning on starting a collaborative Story Matters book series with about 10-15 authors. IE. Story Matters for the Entrepreneur Soul, Story Matters for the Mother’s Soul and so forth.
If you could share three things with my readers, what would you like to leave them with?
You have a story! It’s not a matter of whether you have a powerful story, it’s finding the power in your story.
It’s not just any story. It’s a story that can impact and transform lives.
If you need help with your story, sign up for a Story Strategy session and I will help you get started.
