Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) announced today that their popular in-person summer camps will be replaced with a robust new program called CTC Virtual Academy consisting of group classes, digital performance programs, masterclasses, and individual coaching. Now children throughout the country can study at the nation’s largest and most acclaimed theatre for young people and families. Programming will consist of some familiar program titles, along with an entirely new series of programs all tailored to the strengths of an online creative experience. These 41+ virtual programs are designed for ages 4 through 18. Classes range from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours with daily and weekly options for a balance of screen time and independent creation, and topics ranging from acting to movie making to creating devised, new work to celebrate LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. Running over four sessions, classes will begin June 8 and run through August 27, 2020. Full list of classes is below.
Families can sign up now on CTC’s website: childrenstheatre.org/virtual- academy. Tuition ranges from $50 to $295 per session. A 10% discount applies for families that purchase more than one class or register more than one student per session.
