Daily Dose Haircare was founded on tangled hair and tearful morning routines. While his wife traveled regularly for work, co-founder David Perez--who always kept his hair on the shorter side and previously never had experience with long, curly hair--was home alone with his young daughter and left to fend for himself. This included the daily struggle with getting his daughter ready in the morning. This daddy-daughter hair session was not a cute bonding moment for the two of them—in fact, they both dreaded it. His daughter would constantly run away and lock herself in the bathroom while she tried to fix her hair into a lopsided bun. David would grit his teeth in a tight smile and do what any great dad would: tell her she looked absolutely amazing. Determined to find a solution to the morning chaos, David and his wife Nicole  developed the Daily Dose Miracle Moisture Spray Leave-In Conditioner for all hair types and all ages. I had a chance to interview him to learn more. Why did you create this company? Daily Dose was founded on tangled, unruly beginnings. When I was left home alone with my young daughter while my wife, Nicole, traveled across the country for business, I had to fend for myself—including the daily morning struggle with my daughter’s unmanageable, knotty hair. At first, our hair sessions were less than a cute bonding moment for us. Listen, be patient, compromise, and let them try things on their own!  Girls are smart, strong and creative - and as parents we should encourage and foster this. My daughter and I have a really great, special relationship. She has such interesting perspectives on the world so I try to see things through her eyes. As parents, we think we're supposed to teach our kids everything, when in fact, there is so much we can learn from them if we just let them show us a thing or two once in a while! What Is Daily Dose?
