Fun Freetime: Story Pirates Creator Club

Story Pirates recently launched a Creator Club. It's a subscription service that has frequently updated activities that go along with episodes of their award-winning podcast. Features include writing prompts, live-streamed classes, improv, a daily video show, and a video library. It's all set up to encourage creativity in kids.

As parents, many of us are mindful of screen time. I've never minded screen time as much when it's something educational or something that encourages creativity - and this fits the bill. It's designed for kids ages six through twelve, although kids a little older might enjoy the prompts and improv as well, and the video library has many options that would entertain younger kids too.

You can try it for 30 days to see if you like it. The subscription is a very reasonable price for the amount of high-quality, entertaining content. It's only $5/month, and if you sign up for an annual membership, you'll be able to know you're helping another family get a membership as well. If you're ready for a little more, premium features are available for $8/month (includes a T-shirt, magazine, notebook, store discount, pre-sale tickets, and more).
