Website Spotlight: Ages & Stages - Developmental Milestones Guide

When it comes to their child's development, parents may be unsure of what to expect as their child continues to grow; "Should my child be walking by now?" "When should my child start talking?". While each child develops at their own pace, there are certain milestones that most children should reach by a certain age. I'm sharing with you a set of three articles that can help parents better understand what to expect as their infants, toddlers, and preschoolers grow and develop.

With help from Dr. Jane Squires, co-developer of the Ages & Stages Questionnaires and professor in special education at the University of Oregon, we've put together these articles to help parents understand their child's growth and development—and provide relevant resources for parents in search of more information. These articles are broken down by age range—infants, toddlers, and preschoolers—and informs parents of what developmental milestones they can expect in each range and ways that they can support their child's development along the way.
