The series is great for people of a variety of skill levels - from people who just like to doodle to those who are looking for more specific illustration skills. They help teach basic principles of drawing in a specific context. The two new ones I got to review are Ten-Step Drawing: Nature and Ten-Step Drawing: People.
I thought these books did a great job breaking things down well enough that my younger daughter (who's only ten) and I (who struggle with stick figures) were both able to make things turn out decently. For my older daughter, who has a knack for art, they encouraged her to broaden her horizons. She has always struggled with drawing people, and these guides helped - and even though she already loved to draw nature, she got a lot more ideas!
