Healthy Habits: Sno Babies (Film About Drug Addiction)

Teaching your kids about the dangers of drug use is tough - it is an ugly, unfamiliar scenario that they can not imagine happening to them.

I wanted to tell you about a film that is tough to watch, but important to see.

“An emotionally powerful film with very strong messaging that should not be ignored.  Every parent and teen should see this film!”  – BEHIND THE LENS

“Compelling...Gripping portrayal of the devastating effects of addiction on our kids, our families and our communities.” - ROCK & RECOVERY RADIO

SNO BABIES is a film that depicts the grim realities of teenage addiction and provides hope for recovery. Kristen and Hannah are best friends – smart, likeable and college-bound – and also addicted to heroin. The pair of seemingly unlikely addicts spiral down a path of destruction, hiding their secret from well-meaning but busy parents behind pink bedrooms and school uniforms. SNO BABIES shows how easy it can be to both miss and hide the signs of addiction.

A female-forward film - SNO BABIES is directed by Bridget Smith (Finding Christmas) and stars Katie Kelly (Game of Silence), Paola Andino (Queen of the South) and Shannan Wilson (Elementary). A doting Aunt, Smith was inspired by the young people in her life to make this film a cautionary tale. The few graphic scenes of drug use in the film are meant to cause discomfort and show the reality of the situation, which sees the users hurting themselves and, as a result, their families.

Every time someone plays the songs from the soundtrack or watches the film, they help The Global Recovery Initiatives (GRI) save lives.

All artist royalties from the soundtrack are being donated to The Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation (GRI), with matching contributions by Better Noise Music.  Better Noise Films’ share of profits from SNO BABIES is also being donated to GRI.
