	Make sure that it is manufactured with precision and robotic welding and is form fitting Confirm that your gate meets and exceed US Child Safety Standards Check that it is made from top quality raw materials: thicker, virgin steel, furniture grade hardwood, reinforced resins, certified non-toxic (no lead) paint

	1. Pressure Mount Gates

	Pressure mount gates are the most widely used gates as they do not involve drilling. These types of gates are great for use in doorways, hallways, or as room dividers. KidCo’s pressure mount gates come in a wide variety of styles and offer unique features not found on other gates.  Please remember, however, that ALL pressure mount gates with a walk-thru door have a “U” Frame which is a tripping hazard.  Therefore, KidCo does not recommend pressure mount gates for top of stairs use, even with hardware mounted wall cups. There is a bar at the bottom of all pressure mount gates that helps keep the gate in place and this bar can be a tripping hazard when placed at the top of stairs.

	2. Hardware Mount Gate

	Hardware mount gates are the PERFECT solution for top of stairs use. As they are permanently mounted to the baluster or wall they provide that extra security, and peace of mind, where safety is paramount. However, hardware mount gates also work great in high traffic doorways and hallways.

	3. Extra Wide & Irregular Shaped Areas

	The Auto Close Configure Gate provides maximum safety for use in any extra wide or odd shaped area.  All joints rotate: setting individual sections to the ideal angle, and then easily lock in place for a secure attachment.  The unique handle design on the extra wide door applies Magnet-Lock Technology, a dual magnet design that automatically draws the door closed and guarantees it locks each and every time!  The ConfigureGate also has a hold open feature, that suspends the auto close function until the door is pushed closed.  The original 3 piece ConfigureGate will fit an 86” opening.  An unlimited number of additional 9” and 24” sections can be added to fit any desired length or to make a freestanding enclosure.
