Healthy Habits: Water for Wellness

The journey to self-care can begin at home with simple tips and tools that can lead to soothing results. As an undoubtedly stressful year winds down, there is no better time for you to take a break and relax with easy techniques that can be done at home that will help beat stress, reduce anxiety and relax muscle tension.

On October 13th, Health and Wellness Expert, & Celebrity Fitness Trainer, Founder of The Breath Zone and Water for Wellness Council Member Rebecca Kordecki will share her favorite - and sometimes unexpected - ways for people to maintain their overall wellness from the inside out.  She can discuss tips on massage therapy, breathwork and at-home wellness and recovery tools.

REBECCA’S WELLNESS TIPS INCLUDE:

  • MEDITATION AND SELF TALK: Take some time to practice your breathing to help you calm down from a stressful day or even to help you wake up and energize before work. Adding in some time for yourself can really help to reset your mind for the day.  Start your day with self-affirmations and positive reinforcements that you can repeat to yourself while going through your morning routine.
  • STAY MOVING: If you find yourself working from home and staying in the same place all day, make sure to set an alarm to remind yourself to get up every 30 minutes to step away from the screen to refresh. Take even just five minutes to breathe and it will help you calm yourself throughout the day.
  • USE WATER FOR WELLNESS:  By simply changing out your shower head to a therapeutic strength massage head, you can ease tension and relax muscles. Rebecca’s favorite therapeutic massage shower head, which she will share later on, is shown to have unique wellness benefits such as promoting restful sleep, increasing flexibility and reducing stiffness and stress.
  • CONTINUE SELF-CARE POST SHOWER: After your shower, take some time to stretch any areas that may be bothering you and focus in on points that may be stressed from your day.
