Fun, Imaginative Schleich Billboard

On Saturday, three super-creative kids from Missouri, California and Maryland had their dreams come true when their imaginations debuted larger than life on a Times Square billboard! Paxton (age 7; imagined some animals that lost their way) Addison (age 13; imagined a horse comedy club) and JoJo (age 7; imagined a helpful puppy) previously won a contest that asked kids across the US to share imaginative stories inspired by playtime with Schleich, the world’s leading manufacturer of animal figurines. The contest and billboard are the culmination of the brand’s yearlong 85th anniversary celebration of the power of imagination.

You can view a recording of the virtual viewing party on Schleich’s  Instagram and Facebook pages, which was hosted by Patti Murin, original star of Disney’s Frozen on Broadway.

Key Facts:

Schleich® USA (pronounced Sh-like), the world’s leading manufacturer of animal figurines, debuted a Times Square billboard today featuring imaginative stories shared by thousands of fans throughout the brand’s 85th anniversary year.

Most prominently featured were newly unveiled photos from famed toy photographer, Mitchel Wu, who used his unmistakable artistry to depict imaginative stories shared through a contest that asked fans to share stories inspired by imaginative playtime with Schleich.

After receiving hundreds of amazing video stories earlier this fall, Paxton, age 7 from Missouri, Addison age 13 from California and JoJo age 7 from Maryland were named the winners following a public vote.

Since the winners and Schleich’s global fans were unable to travel to New York City to see the billboard, Schleich hosted a virtual viewing party, led by Patti Murin who originated the role of Anna in Disney’s Frozen on Broadway. Families from around the world joined Murin virtually to sing, dance, meet the contest winners and watch the billboard live from Times Square.
