I recently had a chance to review I CAN by Jack Canfield (known for his work with the Chicken Soup for the Soul books) and Miriam Landry. This children's book has a message that can resonate with kids of all ages - and even some adults too.
The book follows a girl who is nervous about her show and tell, feeling like she just can't get up in front of the class. As she's spending a day thinking about this she notices all the people in her classroom and what they say they can't do, which gives her a great way to help her class - and her teacher - get over their "I Can't" statements.
It's a short but powerful book with a great visual lesson and strong reminder about how important our words are.
