iSprowt is looking to help parents and teachers inspire the students in their life through STEM education.
iSprowt Founder and serial entrepreneur Juliana Lutzi Sherwood developed iSprowt STEM kits to provide children with a way to bring STEM education to life through fun and engaging science experiments. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing more children to learn from home, Sherwood decided to develop online assemblies to help schools bring hands-on learning to their students.
Sherwood believes iSprowt kits make for the perfect holiday gift as they allow children to unlock their creativity and critical thinking and have fun throughout the process. Stories like that of Time’s Kid of the Year show the power STEM education has.
Sherwood explains saying, “I am so thrilled to see Gitanjali Rao get recognized for her incredible innovations. My goal is to have iSprowt inspire more children to push the boundaries of what’s possible through STEM education.”
According to Sherwood:
- iSprowt’s STEM experiments and booklets are so engaging and exciting, kids have no idea that it is helping them achieve higher success at school and in life.
- The goal of iSprowt is to inspire the next generation of scientists, doctors, explores and entrepreneurs.
- Each kit was developed by a team of award-winning teachers and tested in classrooms with over 100 students to ensure that kids love it.
At the request of multiple schools, iSprowt is announcing fun, hands-on virtual science camp for 5th and 6th grade. iSprowt’s science camp will follow the same highly engaging hands-on learning that over 7,000 students experienced this fall with iSprowt’s virtual assemblies.
“Science camp will be filled with laughter, oohhs and ahhhs, as children experience hands-on learning that aligns around the national academic science standards called NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards”, said iSprowt Founder and CEO Juliana Lutzi Sherwood.
These camps will go beyond science to include multiple exciting STEM (Science – Technology – Engineering – Math) concepts. STEM education give children a unique opportunity to develop a variety of essential skills. “Hands-on learning and experiences are the optimal way for children to learn, develop problem-solving skills, and develop a stronger foundation in analytical thinking,” said Sherwood.
“We encourage schools and educators interested in the iSprowt virtual science camp to enroll their 5th-grade students early, as space is limited and we are expected to sell out.” explained Juliana Lutzi Sherwood.
The iSprowt Virtual Science Camp costs $52 and begins in March 2021. Each student gets:
- 2 live Zoom sessions
- Action packed science kit filled:
- 7 hands-on experiments
- 2 40-page adventure activity workbooks
- 7 Level Up activities
- 2 Engineering STEM challenges
- Supplemental Teaching Guide is provided free of charge to schools.
