Faith-focused singers and songwriters can get their work heard by an
audience of 1.5 million, as devotional ministry FIRST15 looks for artists to partner with
in pairing worship music and daily devotionals.
“Worship songs are often written and produced to be led from a stage and sung as an anthem in church,” said FIRST15 CEO Craig Denison. “Such corporate worship is incredible and needed, but we believe there is an opportunity and need for music to help believers grow in their times of personal worship throughout the week.”
FIRST15 offers online and printed 15-minute devotionals accessed monthly by 1.5 million people. Each of the 365 days of devotions, includes a video from a worship artist performing a song that ties into the theme of that month’s devotional.
Writers, singers and recording producers wanting to take part will find Music Briefs for each month online at First15Worship.com. These offer a brief description of each day’s devotion and a link to listen so that creators can tailor their art to the message. Along with that is guidance on how to submit a song for consideration and how to submit contact information.
“What would it look like if you were to write a song for someone’s personal time with God?” Denison asked. “What would you say? How would it sound? And what would happen if there were a movement of believers spending time in God’s presence in worship every day?”
Monthly, 1.5 million readers discover God more deeply through Craig’s FIRST15 devotionals. Craig Denison also serves as CEO of Denison Ministries, whose brands include Denison Forum, First15 and Christian Parenting.
