 I recently had a chance to see a copy of the book The Female Gaze - Essential Movies Made by Women. If you're a movie fan, this could be a great book for you.

The impact of women on the movie and film industry was not something I had ever really thought of - as a math teacher I'm well aware of encouraging my students to discover female STEM professionals. But it's important to note the contribution women have made in other fields too. I had no idea just how many notable movies were made by women.

The book includes biographies of many female filmmakers, their accomplishments and struggles, and the unique perspective that women can bring to film. It's well-written, and even though I'm not a juge movie fan, I still enjoyed reading the book.
