Caring Causes: Red Gold and Folds of Honor

The reports are coming in with concerns for a Ketchup shortage in America and “Ketchup with a Cause” is ready to serve.

Folds of Honor launched a partnership in 2020, midst the pandemic, with the Midwestern tomato and ketchup manufacturer Red Gold to support the non-profit foundation’s educational scholarships awarded to family members of fallen or disabled military heroes.

Through the partnership, Red Gold provides funds from ketchup sales to support the Folds of Honor foundation. The initiative started with the popular 20oz bottles offered by the ketchup company, and quickly expanded to additional product offerings to support the changing needs of consumers and restaurants through the pandemic. In the first eight months, “Ketchup with a Cause” provided more than $100,000.”We are so humbled, so excited and so grateful for what Red Gold is doing to raise awareness for our cause and the meaningful impact that they have already made in such a short time”, says Ben Leslie, Folds of Honor Executive Vice President.

Most recently, the company launched a 1oz ketchup cup to help alleviate the constrained, over demanded capacity for typical ketchup packets found at your local drive through restaurant.

In critical times, Red Gold Folds of Honor ketchup is here to serve in more ways than just with a side of fries. “This is a great time for our country to unite as they insist on Red Gold Ketchup as All-American brand with a cause that honors the sacrifice and educates the legacy.  I look forward to seeing Red Gold ketchup in every home across the nation”, says Leslie.

Red Gold, American owned and manufactured entirely in the U.S., has been producing ketchup and tomato products for nearly 80 years. The business started in service to American heroes fighting in WWII and will ready its team to support the ketchup industry all across the country.
