I recently had a chance to see the Salonpas product line of topical OTC pain relief products.

By putting the medicine right at the site of pain, bypassing the stomach and liver, Salonpas can use less medicine to deliver an effective dose.
I love the idea of topical pain relief - really targeting the spot that it hurts. For the most part, I find topical pain relief effective, so I was happy to try these out as an alternative to oral medications. We don't have any chronic pain conditions, so these are great for our family!
