Founded by Kaylee McLaughlin, whose hopes was to create a drink the would bring the health benefits of probiotic beverages and the great taste to her children! Soon Kaylee discovered parents enjoyed the drink just as much as their kids! Kaylee McLaughlin is a military spouse, mother of three, and female business leader, and I had a chance to interview her to learn more.
Why did Kaylee create probiotic seltzer water?
I created Kaylee's Culture because I saw a void in the market for a healthy, functional beverage the whole family can enjoy, from 2-99! There are hundreds of functional beverages available to adults on the shelves but the kids section is watered down juice boxes with no benefits. I wanted to change that, so I did!
What are some of the unique things about this drink?
Kaylee's Culture is an Organic, Non-GMO, zero calorie, zero sugar bubbly water that contains a child's pediatrician daily recommended dose of probiotics per can! I was really excited about being able to offer parents a functional beverage for their kids but after hitting the market, we realized that parents (and grandparents) enjoyed this drink just as much! Kaylee's Culture is the only Probiotic rich drink that is made for the whole family and we're really excited about that!
What has been the biggest surprise in creating a new product?
Creating a new product has had its surprises but launching during a pandemic was interesting. Silver lining is, this is my first time launching a beverage business so the pandemic obstacles were no different to me than any other obstacles new beverage entrepreneurs face when creating a new product. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to launch during this time and to share a probiotic rich, immunity boosting goodness for our families.
