Consumer Critique: Think Tank Scholar Flashcards

MJ Eng and David Perez made their life’s work building innovative consumer brands. More importantly, as fathers, they also shared a passion for teaching their children everything from basic life lessons and critical early development concepts to business acumen.

Think Tank Scholar was born with a mission to inspire a lifetime love of creative thinking and learning through educational products that are both fun and thought provoking. Their initial launch focused on five packs of superior quality Sight Words Flash Cards with comprehensive features like multiple cards, teaching methods and fun games for beginning readers ages 2-9. Their unexpected early success prompted them to soon launch more flash card sets, this time with a focus on math – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The beautifully designed cards are parent approved and have earned multiple educational awards.

I had a chance to see a copy of the math flashcards, which came in a nice little box for easy storage and portability. The cards are small enough that an individual set fits easily in a purse or bag, but big enough that they're easy to read. They come with all the math facts plus a few bonus word problems and suggestions for games and teaching methods. Even though my kids are in middle school, it doesn't hurt to use these to review facts and build bluency and speed to make the more complicated problems go more smoothly!
