I recently had a chance to review three books that are perfect for anyone who is experiencing a life transition or just looking for a way to start new positive habits.
Checklists have been around for ages. There are a lot of different ways to create and use checklists, and there can be a strong benefit to physically writing and seeing your checklist be completed. I like lists, and it was intriguing to read about how the author has her own method for creating and using checklists. One of my favorite aspects of the book was encouraging readers to add "easy wins" to their lists - things taht you know you can get done and help add momentum to the day. If you are looking for a way to streamline your list-making or improve your productivity, her tips might work well for you.
The 7 Habits on the Go: Timeless Wisdom for a Rapidly Changing World
The 7 Habits books have been around for quite a while, and have been adapted for a variety of specific audiences too. This is good for people who need a little refresher on the 7 Habits - a quick daily tip sheet to incorporate them in your life. For me, it also acted as a nice teaser and made me intrigued to look more into some of the 7 Habits books that I haven't read before.
66 Day Journal: A Guided Journal for Creating New Habits
This book is great for people who create goals but then have those goals fall by the wayside. The beginning of the book provides motivations and tips on setting and keeping goals, while the rest of the book is a journal with daily prompts to help track progress. While many of the prompts are the same, there's enough variety to keep the habits from getting too stale.
