Music Minute: How'd You Get Your Deal

DiscoverSooner, the online community connecting songwriters with publishers, has announced an event, How’d You Get Your Deal? The free online Zoom event is aimed at songwriters, artists and music industry professionals of all levels and will be on Thursday, June 17 at 5pm CDT. Featured panelists will be hit songwriters Pete Sallis (“Shut Up And Fish” Maddie and Tae) and Brian White (Dove Award winner and SESAC Country Songwriter of the Year) and will be hosted by Nancy Deckant, Founder and CEO of Sooner. More information and registration details are available at https://www.discoversooner.com/events

The interactive event aims to share the real-world experience of veteran professional songwriters. Sallis and White will tell how they landed publishing deals and what writers can do to put themselves in the position to land a deal of their own. In addition to the panelists sharing information, a Q&A session will be offered during the event. Three participants will have an opportunity to have a song played and receive live feedback from the hit songwriters.

“I love that Discover Sooner gives opportunities to bring publishers and songwriters closer together,” shared Pete Sallis.
