I recently had the chance to review a few books from Starry Forest Books. From vibrant board books on gaming, to breathtaking Greek myth picture books, and empowering lessons on antiracism for young readers, these books are great gifts for little ones.
The first one I got to see I thought was really quite awesome. The Gamer Baby series is perfect for little ones whose parents game. It's a great way to introduce chess, role playing games, or video games to babies in a positive light. The illustrations are bold and eye-catching, and the text is perfect for reading to little ones to share hobbies, and some of the positive benefits of gaming in moderation.
The other one I got to see was from the 10 Ideas series. These books introduce kids to ways that they can make meaningful changes in just a few manageable actions. The one caution I would have for the one I saw (Overcome Racism) is that if you're a family with an adopted child, it does talk about a family tree in terms of learning about background, but I know that can be a sensitive issue for some adopted kids. Otherwise it was a great book - useful tips that families can do together to help work to combat racism.
The publisher has a variety of other books and series available, including timely titles like Masks: A Lift-the-Flap Book, Greek myths, classic stories, STEAM, and much more!
