Book Nook: Modern Manners for Moms & Dads

I recently had a chance to see a copy of Modern Manners for Moms & Dads: Practical Parenting Solutions for Sticky Social Situations (for Kids 0-5). What I like most about the book is that it's updated for a lot of pretty typical modern situations. The advice is practical, and there are enough anecdotes to make it more than just a dry to-do list.

I thought that the book was realistic. It also encouraged setting good examples and being kind. Honestly, when it comes to parenting, modeling and encouraging kindness can help smooth over a lot of issues that could be potential minefields. There was one piece of advice that I thought was a little misguided, but is addressed in a publisher correction. Otherwise, even though not everything was exactly how I would have handled it, it was a lot of stuff that I thought were great tips, especially for new parents!
