High school students get to complete their time with CodeWizardsHQ in a very special way. Upon finishing our high school program, they are invited to apply for our real world internship. This one-of-a-kind experience gives students the chance to work on a project for a nonprofit with a group of peers. |
A CodeWizardsHQ teacher serves as a mentor for the interns, but it’s really up to the students to lead the project and work together to get tasks done. Recent interns have worked on a project for Austin, TX-based Wonders & Worries, a nonprofit that supports kids and teens who have a parent going through a serious illness.
Not only is the internship a great real-world experience for students, it’s a way for them to build their coding portfolio and stand out on their college applications.
