Parenting Pointers: New Fatherhood Podcast from Kinyumba Mutakabbir

For your upcoming stories, please consider Kinyumba Mutakabbiran actor and real estate developer who launched a podcast on how to balance working with being a single dad, widowed after the loss of his fiancè. The Dope Ass Dad Podcast, launching January 17th, will be filled with tips and resources for dad's-on-the-go, to share their fatherhood journey and to not go through the fatherhood experience alone.

The Dope Ass Dad Podcast is a one-stop-shop for everything dad-related. There is a huge stigma regarding the mother having to balance work and child-rearing, but the value of fathers, especially great black fathers doing it alone, that narrative never gets told and we don’t realize that great black fathers already exist. CDC data shows black fathers are more likely to feed, eat with, bathe, diaper, dress, play with, and read to their children on a daily basis. The podcast episodes will inspire, educate, and entertain families and create a community for dope ass dads to collaborate and communicate at the forefront of the media.

As a great black dad and podcast founder in the grueling world of both acting and real estate, raising his little girl, Kinyumba can comment on the following hot topics:

-How to become involved in your neighborhood, PTA, your university board as a single dad.

-How to handle the cost of the narrative that black men can’t be good fathers.

-Appropriate age for phones/tablets/make-up and best hair products for daughters.

-Montessori, private school, daycare or homeschool?

-Perfect Kettlebell Routine in between zoom meetings with your kids to be strong in mind and body.

-Trending methods to help make money as a Dope Ass Dad including residual income, particularly in STR or short term rentals.

Kinyumba says, "When I learned that I was becoming a father, I always knew I wanted to be a “Dope Ass Dad”.  I scoured the web for blogs and YouTube videos, I got helpful advice from family and friends, and I found great things that really spoke to me; but I was still overwhelmed. I was missing a resource that was specifically for dads with dope ass related topics. My aim is to create that resource now with “The Dope Ass Dad Podcast."

Celebrity guests will include scholars, attorneys, financial experts, health and wellness specialists.

Kinyumba Mutakabbir is on BET, FOX, TBS, ABC and in theaters starring in the theatrically released trilogy True To The Game 3. True To The Game 2 was the highest grossing independent film of 2020 and can be found alongside a star studded cast including Columbus Short, Vivica Fox, Darius McCrary, and Jeremy Meeks. TTG3 is slated for release on Dec 3 2021 where Kinyumba will reprise the role of Mike.
