Book Nook: 365 Health & Happiness Boosters

I recently had a chance to review the book 365 Health & Happiness Boosters. Naturally, that means that there's one for each year - however, you definitely don't have to go in order.

I liked this book. Each happiness booster was something that's accessible for nearly everyone. The boosters are generic enough that they can be tailored to match any personality and lifestyle. They're also generally easy to implement. Of course, they're designed to be something that's fun and/or beneficial (and usually both). If you follow the book straight through, you might not be able to do one exactly on the day allocated (for example, "find a bargain" if you aren't doing any shopping that day). However, it's easy to swap the order and very few are truly seasonal dependent (although if you're in a cold-winter-weather state some of the summer-oriented ones might not work in January).

Even just reading through the boosters gave my mind a little boost - there's definitely something to be said about anticipation! Some of them are things I already incorporate in my life, but the nice thing with even the ones I'm already doing is that thinking of them as health or happiness boosters shifts my mind-set just enough that they become even more enjoyable.

This is a great book for anyone looking for little tips on how to bring a little more light to their day.
