Book Nook: Totally Random Questions

I recently had a chance to review a new book series for kids, TOTALLY RANDOM QUESTIONS. Although the books are targeted towards ages 8-12, my older daughter (almost 15) and I enjoyed the format and learned a lot from the books.

The books are fun to read. The appropriate photos, engaging facts, and quick but accurate answers are helpful for keeping reluctant readers interested, and the breadth of information will also appeal to those who love to learn trivia and facts about the world. My kids devoured them, and then loved sharing what they learned with their father and me.

During her career at National Geographic, Melina created hundreds of new products and franchises, including the New York Times best-selling National Geographic Kids Almanac; and Weird But True!, a 30-book series that has collectively sold over 2.1M copies; and the recreation and reintroduction of National Geographic Kids magazine, now ranked as the #1 kids' magazine. She is uniquely qualified to write come up with these totally random questions and find the answers!
