PBS SoCal, the home of the entire PBS schedule and a crucial educational resource for the Southern California region, announced an uplifting, musical travelogue presenting the most breathtaking places across the country in the new original production FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA. Combining footage shot at national parks, historic sites and hometown locales from around the country, the new program produced by PBS SoCal is a stunning visual portrait set to stirring music and a diverse collection of poetry meant to inspire viewers of all ages. FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA will premiere on Mon., Feb. 28 at 8 p.m. on PBS SoCal and will be broadcast nationally on PBS stations across the country.
“We hope this loving tribute to our country will inspire PBS Viewers to explore other states and meet some of their fellow Americans,” commented Executive Producer/Writer Maura Daly Phinney. “The program was inspired by the words of 12 American poets and features some of the most spectacular places in our country.”
