I recently had a chance to review a book that's perfect for celebrating St. Patrick's Day - Irish Wit, Wisdom & Humor - The Complete Collecti
on of Irish Jokes, One-Liners & Witty Sayings. The book is full of quotes from authors, poets, comedians, actors, politicians and many more that best represent the Emerald Isle including James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Bono, Edna O'Brien, C.S. Lewis, Sinead O'Connor, George Bernard Shaw, and many others.
The book was fun to read, both the figures that I knew and the ones I'd never heard of. There were quotes that were funny, thoughtful, or both. The book was easy to read too - one definitely plus of quote books is that you can read just a page or two here and there. It would make a fun gift for the fans of Irish culture in your life!
