Caring Causes: Sibling Support Bracelet and Necklace

Siblings Day is apparently coming up on April 10^th, and it's a good time to highlight new pieces by social worker turned jewelry designer, Bonnie Jennifer—the Sibling Support Bracelet and Necklace, developed in partnership with the Sibling Support Project (https://siblingsupport.org/). The Sibling Support Project is the first national program dedicated to the life-long and ever-changing concerns of millions of brothers and sisters of people with health, developmental, and mental health concerns. It is a program of Kindering, Washington State’s most comprehensive neurodevelopmental center.

 

The bracelet and necklace are meant to be worn in solidarity and support of a sibling, and a portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated directly to the Sibling Support program.

 

Jewelry designer Bonnie Jennifer says, “For the Sibling Support bracelet and necklace, my goal is to reach as many siblings with disabilities as possible, to know that there is a network of other siblings out there that will stand by their side through love, support, and the special bond we all share in a community together.” Bonnie Jennifer’s sister, Cindy, has been a constant source of inspiration in life and in her designs. Cindy lives with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and is differently abled.

 

Emily Holl, Director of the Sibling Support Project, says, “We are thrilled to partner with Bonnie Jennifer on this project. The Sibling Bracelet is a beautiful, simple, timeless piece that reminds us of our secret sibling super-powers: our spirit, strength, and steadfast support of our siblings, ourselves, and each other. Most of all, it represents the unique bonds we share with our siblings and the knowledge that all of us are special.” 

 

The Sibling Support bracelet features vermeil sterling silver dipped in gold, with links at the end, for easy size adjustment. For the 100 limited edition bracelets sold, 50% of the sales will be donated to the Sibling Support Project. The bracelet ships within a week.

 

The Sibling Support Necklace is also vermeil dipped in gold, is made to order, and has a 4-5-week turnaround time from ordering. For each necklace sold, 15% of the sales will be donated back to the Sibling Support Project.

 

In addition, 15% of any order, site-wide across https://bonniejennifer.com/, will be donated back to Sibling Support from April 6-10^th, 2022.
