Consumer Critique: LivBar

LivBar was founded by a nutritionist who struggled to find a convenient snack for her clients that was nutritionally balanced and actually tasted good. What began as a small mission to nourish her community, has grown into a brand that’s leading the real food revolution and advocating for increased sustainability across the industry and all 50 states. LivBar has even been featured in an article for Outside.

I had a chance to sample these bars. I was honestly really excited about the idea of a compostable wrapper, since food wrappers are a huge single-use plastic that we use today. I also loved that they were made with organic ingredients and baked at a solar-powered factory. If you have dietary needs, the bars are organic, vegan, soy free, dairy free, corn free, kosher, gluten-free, and non-GMO verified.

Are they good? Definitely. They have an interesting texture, kind of like a seed bar - not really crunchy or chewy. They're very satisfying, though. They're a good size, enough to be a filling snack, but not too filling if you're active. They're lightly sweet so they satisfy a sweet tooth, but not overly so. I wasn't a huge fan of the coffee flavor (but I don't love coffee), and I absolutely loved the vanilla blueberry flavor!

You can buy LivBar online, or find LivBar in a store near you!
