When Tyler McCusker lost his 105-year grandmother a couple years ago, it dawned on him that his family had next to nothing of hers from the end of her life.
McCusker’s grandmother was one of the oldest people in America; she had even been interviewed by Al Roker three times. That’s when McCusker had an aha moment – create a podcast that memorializes our elders before they pass away.
From Snippet.FM, the world’s first short form podcast network, McCusker hosts a new kind of podcast about life and the invaluable wisdom of our elders. Aptly titled, “Hindsight,” the show premieres on March 18th and aims to capture the thoughts, stories, and traditions from the generation that has seen it all. After all, capturing advice from our elders is a universal desire – one of the most popular Google searches is “Top Regrets of the Dying.”
“It was a huge shame to lose my grandmother without recording her stories and I wanted to make sure other families didn’t suffer that same fate” said McCusker adding, “I want to give them a chance to memorialize their family elders in the form of an audio interview.”
