I am nowhere near retirement, although my parents are, and it's fun to see what they have planned for their future. They love to travel, so this was a fun book for them to read. The book came out of the realization that the author didn't have enough for her and her spouse to retire according to the "magic number" they were supposed to have, so they decided to retire abroad instead.

I've heard of plenty of other people doing that too, although this was the first time I had the chance to read a book about it. It's a great read for those who just want to know what options are possible in retirement - retiring abroad isn't for everyone, but it's a great option for this author, and she does a good job writing about how she got there.
