I recently had the chance to review More Than a Mom: How Prioritizing Your
Moms often put themselves last. I myself am guilty with this - even as I'm recovering from a major car accident, I'm trying to minimize what I need to help manage my family's emotions. This book came at a good time - a reminder that I can be human too, and I need to take the time to rest and recharge to be the best I can be for my family.
The book is kind and practical. It makes a strong case for self-care, and points out how it's really good for everyone in the family when moms take care of themselves. No matter what stage of parenting you're in, if you find it hard to make time for yourself, this book can be a good read for you.
