Allergy season is officially upon us, but for those of us who suffer, I didn’t have to tell you that. But did you know that we all actually do have an allergy in common? It’s life itself. Our body’s immune response to its environment cuts our lives short with heart disease. What’s going on here and can we reverse it?
Environmental specialist Douglas Mulhall has uncovered that there is much more than what meets the eye when it comes to the causes of heart disease and other sicknesses. Our environment plays a significant role which is often overlooked when looking at health factors.
“Surprisingly, we’re all allergic to our own environment. Our body’s immune response backfires when it encounters environmental threats like infection, pollution and toxic metals. That’s why most of us start getting heart disease from the day we’re born,” says Mulhall.
The environmental areas like our homes, work spaces and even the simple factor of just existing takes a constant toll on our bodies as they work to keep us healthy. However, this attempt to do so by our bodies can actually backfire with significant consequences.
Mulhall goes on to say, “Many studies find that our longevity is cut short by our immune response to environmental attacks. There are ways to minimize the risk and reverse the damage, but they’re not widely used. That’s because most healthcare professionals have no environmental training, even though surveys suggest that those professionals want that training. It’s time for medical schools to provide it and for patients to demand it.”
