Magcardgrip Interview

Magcardgrip is the phone grip and wallet that allows you to wirelessly charge any phone, without removing it from the back of your phone. 

Most phone wallets have a small snap or magnet to keep the cards secure. Or they’re part of a bulky phone case. Magcardgrip offers a slim solution. It holds up to two cards with a magnet to secure the wallet flap closed, and a strong adhesive keeps Magcardgrip in place on any phone or case – so no worry about losing credit cards or IDs.

 

A MagSafe magnet connects Magcardgrip to the phone. Once people flip open the wallet, they can easily attach the magnet to the wireless charger.

I had a chance to learn about the product in this interview.

Q: Why was Magcardgrip created?

We believe MagSafe charging will become more common in the future. People will need a compatible phone accessory that supports MagSafe charging. When we conducted market research, the current market products don’t support a grip, wallet and MagSafe functions. So we created Magcardgrip. 

Q -Can you share a little bit about the design process and considerations behind the product?

When designing Magcardgrip, we searched for the highest quality materials. We handmade each prototype sample to check every detail, before mass production. The mockup changed more than 20 times because we aim to make Magcardgrip perfect.

Magcardgrip is MagSafe compatible for every phone that can wirelessly charge. There are no brand limitations. It’s universal!
