Having spent one evening reading the same story five times to her daughter and son, Sarah Gaudry-Price nonchalantly said she thought she could write a better one. Spurred on by her daughter, The Adventures of Willow and Ziggy is the accomplished result.
Charming, action-packed and a gentle reminder that whilst we may not always be the best at something (in Willow’s case - magic) we all possess amazing talents that come to the fore at the most opportune times.
Sarah Gaudry-Price’s decision to write and publish this book superbly illustrates the assertion made in her story.
Aimed at two to -seven year olds, Willow the Witch is destined to become a bedtime classic, and its young fanbase will be excited to know that further adventures of this wonderfully kind witch are already in the pipeline.
Synopsis:
Meet Willow the Witch and her clever cat Ziggy!
Willow may not be the best at magic but when disaster strikes, these heroes swing into action. Using Willows secret power and Ziggy’s big brain, can they solve the mystery and save their school?
Young readers will enjoy this action packed adventure showing that heroes can come from anywhere. Bedtime fun for the smallest people in your family.
The author says:
“I love children’s books and reading and inventing stories with my daughter (4) and son (3). We have pretty much cleaned out the libraries of south London at times. One evening, I was asked to read the same book for the fifth time. I complained to my daughter that it was not a very good story and said that I thought we could write a better one. She said, “Ok, you write one for me”. So I did. I honestly though it would take two weeks….it took 10 months!
Creating Willow and Ziggy has been a wonderful shared journey, even if I’d had some very harsh critics at home.”
“As a story, it’s quite gentle and simple. I would love for it to be shared and enjoyed by others.”
Independently published, The Adventures of Willow and Ziggy is available in paperback and Kindle format on Amazon at https://amzn.to/3c03CRc and https://amzn.to/3uKhK7N
About the author:
Sarah developed a passion for imaginative play while combing beaches, building dens and hunting for aliens across South East England. Now a London resident she spends her time doing all the same things but with her partner and children....Luckily they don't seem to mind.
Sarah is often found in the local parks and commons, guarding the treasures (sticks / shells / pine cones) that her children have found on their adventures. She is also busy writing the next Willow quest and is looking forward to sharing it with you soon.
