A new report from Lombardo Homes found unsupervised children are one of the top neighbor pet peeves. A nationwide poll found Americans are more annoyed by unsupervised children than a lot of other things, including aggressive animals and unkempt landscaping!
Leaving kids outside unsupervised is not the only habit that can cause tension on the block. Noise, not cleaning up after pets, and being intrusive are also common complaints.
Other report highlights include:
- 70% of Americans talk to their neighbors, but 45% don’t want to talk to them
- More than half (53%) are currently dealing with annoying neighbors
- 14% of Americans have moved due to frustrating neighbors
When it comes to noise, what type of complaints are most common? The top five are loud music, loud adults talking/shouting, loud pets, and loud children.
Take a look at the full report to see how Americans feel about HOA’s, what time they say is acceptable for yard work, and the number of people who admit to doing something on purpose to "get revenge" on an annoying neighbor.
