Book Nook: Girl, Forgotten

I recently had the chance to review Girl, Forgotten, a new book from the bestselling author of Pieces of Her. It's not the type of book I normally choose to read, but it is definitely a book that, once I started to read it, I didn't want to put down.

In 1982, Emily Vaughn, a girl with a secret, is killed. For forty years, her murder remains a mystery. Then US Marshal Andrea Oliver arrives in this small town, officially to project a judge who's getting death threats, but also there to find justice for Emily.

I can see why Karin Slaughter made the bestselling list, and I have no doubt that this book will be well-received also. It's intriguing, with a plot that moves fast enough to keep readers interested but not so fast that they miss crucial details. Now that I've read this book, I want to check out Pieces of Her too!
