A new study reveals that the majority of Americans (74%) feel like 2022 has set the standard for the “new normal.” With the new school year approaching, 1 in 10 parents say they’re worried about schools reverting to remote learning, 1 in 3 believe it will be a 'normal school year', and 19% worry about catching COVID-19 during the school year.
The nationwide survey also asked people what makes them feel safe to venture out in 2022. Highlights include:
- 55% no longer care about proof of vaccination status or COVID-19 recovery before events
- 62% are no longer concerned about capacity restrictions anymore
- 52% of people say they feel comfortable attending any kind of event this year
- Top 3 events people feel comfortable attending this year: Domestic travel (87%), movie theaters (84%), and parties (84%)
Despite increasing comfort levels with indoor events year-over-year, 51% are still worried about getting COVID-19 and 1 in 5 vigilantly check daily case numbers in their area.
Take a look at the full report which also includes insights into the types of events that still concern Americans (indoor concerts top the list).
