Book Nook: The Rowdy Randy Wild West Shown

The Rowdy Randy Wild West Show,
written by award-winning children’s book author
Casey Rislov, is about a bold and courageous young horse fly, proving herself to be the brave cowgirl she is and if you set your mind to something, you can achieve it - even if there is a lurking shadow to take credit for all Rowdy Randy’s hard work.

“The Rowdy Randy series was inspired by the wildlife of the West,” says Rislov. “Many people travel to Yellowstone and other National Parks to see these magnificent creatures. Rowdy Randy, the cowgirl horsefly, came about as the main character after we decided it is great to read books that have chaos on each page you turn. We continued this second story with creating her own Wild West Show that is based off  U.S. Western History. She is still the strong character that she was in the first book, but now this book shows that she is also a leader of many- and that all girls can be leaders too. I hope this series sparks a love of nature for children and brings more families outdoors to create their own brave adventures.”

The Rowdy Randy Wild West Show is the follow-up to her first big adventure in Rowdy Randy  [Book Bridge Press, 2019]. This daring horse fly is back, and ready to give the performance of a lifetime! With life-like illustrations Rowdy Randy’s Wild West Show brings together a rugged action packed story for all critters and creatures alike.
