Money Makers: Childcare Business Workshop at Brooklyn Public Library (NY, 10/20)

The Brooklyn Public Library’s Business and Career Center has partnered with PS Family NYC to offer free childcare business workshops to the community. The first free workshop will be on opening a childcare business, held on Thursday, October 20th at the main Brooklyn Public Library branch, 10 Grand Army Plaza, in the Business and Career Center, at 2:30pm. All workshops will be offered in English and Spanish, with different topics at various library locations each month.

Yanery Lopez, PS Family Associate Director, will take attendees step by step through the process of opening a childcare business. Mrs. Lopez understands first hand what is involved from both the provider and the owner side. She will share her experience and knowledge owning, operating, and eventually expanding her childcare business.

“Yanery helped me through the whole process of opening my second childcare business. I couldn’t have done it without her, and everyone at PS Family.”
–Ibelisse Garcia

Topics include choosing a space, licensing requirements, on-site provider qualifications, and legal structures. Find out about the support PS Family provides for childcare businesses and the benefits of joining a network.

Full workshop details and registration info can be found on the PS Family NYC website.
